It's a brand new month, which means a new set of free games for Xbox Live Games with Gold members.

The set of new games for the month of October looks to be an interesting list for players on the Xbox One console and on the older Xbox 360 system as they will apparently be getting themselves in all sorts of antics, which includes playing baseball, driving ATVs, and even attempting prison breaks.

For the month of October, Xbox Live Games with Gold members will be getting a total of four free titles as usual. Two of the games will be for the Xbox One console, while the other two will be for the Xbox 360 console.

Xbox One players will, of course, be able to enjoy all of the games thanks to the company's backward compatibility program, which allows them to play older titles on their next generation gaming console.

The two games for Xbox One players will be the baseball simulation video game "Super Mega Baseball: Extra Innings" and the award-winning simulation game titled "The Escapists." Both of the games normally retail for $19.99, but members will be getting them for free within a limited time. "Super Mega Baseball: Extra Innings" is free for the entire month of October, while "The Escapists" will be available from Oct. 16 to Nov. 15.

"Super Mega Baseball: Extra Innings" is not your typical simulation game as it offers different modes of play including a single player campaign, a 2-versus-1 mode, a 2-versus-2 mode, and a Players-versus-CPU mode. "The Escapists," on the other hand, is more of a free play game that allows players to plot an escape out of prison in any way they can, which includes the option of being a homicidal maniac and killing everyone in sight.

Xbox 360 players will be getting both the bike stunts video game "MX vs ATV Reflex" and the post-apocalyptic adventure video game "I Am Alive." "MX vs ATV Reflex" is available for the entire month of October, while "I Am Alive" will be offered for free from Oct. 16 until Oct. 31.
