Microsoft has revealed the set of free games for Xbox Games with Gold members for the month of September. Next month will be a mix of some adrenaline rush and ancient cult.

For Xbox One players, the upcoming role-playing video game "Earthlock: Festival of Magic" will be available for free when it releases on the first day of September.

In this game with a retail price of $29.99, players will step into the shoes of desert scavenger Amon who is tasked to save the world of Umbra, "a beautiful but harsh world that mysteriously stopped spinning thousands of cycles ago."

This Xbox Games with Gold free calls for unity to unlock powerful abilities, turn-based combat and customization on the character's progression. It will be free to download for the whole month of September.

The next Xbox One game to be available for free to Xbox One players with Xbox Games with Gold subscription is "Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China" usually priced $9.99.

It takes players to 16th Century China where they help Shao Jun, the last remaining Assassin of the Chinese Brotherhood, settle the score with the Chinese emperor. The game will be downloadable from Sept. 16 to Oct. 15.

Xbox Games with Gold also has two titles this September for Xbox 360 players. First is the hit racing game "Forza Horizon," which will allow players to explore the streets of Colorado.

The second freebie is "Mirror's Edge," the first in the action-adventure platformer series released almost a decade ago by EA (Electronic Arts) DICE.

The former can be downloaded for free during the first half of September while the latter will be free starting the latter half of the said month. Both goodies save players $35.

Thanks to Xbox One Backward Compatibility, these Xbox 360 games will also be available for free to Xbox One-playing Xbox Games with Gold members.
