With the holiday season now ready to go full swing and with December now just right around the corner, members of Microsoft's Games with Gold program are now excited to receive the final set of free games for 2016. There are still a few days left until December finally arrives, but Microsoft has decided to now announce the next set of free games to get its members pumped up to download and play the games that will be offered for free next month.

As announced by Microsoft's own Major Nelson, the next set of free games for the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 looks to be interesting titles that should translate to hours and hours of gaming bliss. Microsoft still follows their standard formula of releasing two games for the Xbox One and two games for the Xbox 360. Xbox One owners, however, will have the advantage of also being able to play the games on the older console, thanks to the company's backwards compatibility feature.

The two games that will be coming out for Xbox One players next month are "Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition" and "Outlast." The first game is a complex open world action adventure video game set in Hong Kong. Players will be playing as an undercover cop infiltrating the city's underworld. "Outlast," on the other hand, is a horror title that will have players fight their way out of a creepy hospital full of deranged killers.

Xbox 360 players will also be getting two games, namely "Outland" and "Burnout Paradise." The first game is a 2D action game involving a battle between the blue and red light spectrums. "Burnout Paradise," on the other hand, is the fifth main installment in the "Burnout" franchise where players can choose different racing modes to compete in.

"Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition" will be available to download and play during the entire month of December. "Outlast" will be available starting Dec. 16 up to Jan. 15. "Outland" will also be free for members from Dec. 1 up to Dec. 15, while "Burnout Paradise" is free from Dec. 16 up to Dec. 31.
