WWE news: Hulk Hogan wants a WrestleMania rematch with The Rock

After many years, the legendary Hulk Hogan is adamant to get back to the ring and it seems like he has one match in mind. The iconic wrestler wants to revisit a match that dates all the way back to WrestleMania 18.

The rematch Hogan wanted in particular? With Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The Rock was a big, big superstar in his own right, with a lot of championships to show. He was practically a household name, but it was facing off with Hogan in WrestleMania 18 that truly made The Rock one of the greats. It was more than just passing the torch to a celebrated wrestling career; it was more on passing on a legacy. The Rock defeated Hogan in the end, and they shook hands afterward.

The Rock recently shared a great moment in his life on Twitter when he was still a 12-year-old wrestling fan back in 1984. He was sitting in the crowd at Madison Square Garden, and he caught one of Hogan's headbands that he threw out from the ring. After the match, he went to the locker room to meet Hogan, who then gave him a new headband a few weeks later. Hogan responded to this tweet a little differently over the weekend.

Hogan said that if he wanted a new headband, then he needed to give him a rematch. "Yo @TheRock, if you need another head band this time you need to give me my rematch then see you can take it brother!! Lol. Only love but I'm serious about the rematch brother HH" tweeted Hogan.

A rematch between Hogan and The Rock may seem very unlikely, but it seems that Hogan is more than willing to get back in the ring, following his subsequent release back in 2015. Knowing that Sting and Goldberg are active again nowadays, many might look forward to Hogan joining in as well.
