'WWE 2K16' news: Legends Pack DLC gets release date

WWE 2K16 Legends Pack 2K website

The Legends Pack for "WWE 2K16" will be available on Dec. 22, developer 2K Sports announced. As the name suggests, this exciting downloadable content will give PS4, Xbox One and PC gamers access to six new playable legends.

These fighters will be Big Boss Man, Dusty Rhodes, Lita, Mr. Perfect, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and Trish Stratus. The Legends pack is priced at $8.99. It is also included in the $24.99 season pass for the game. Those who purchased it will get the Legends Pack automatically when it releases next week.

Meanwhile, "WWE 2K16" finally gets the Creation Studio app, which fans have been waiting for since day one. This feature was promised to be available the same day as the game's launch and after two months, 2K is ready to see it in action.

The Creation Studio app allows gamers to be the face of the wrestlers they fight as in the game. This is achieved by simply taking a selfie and importing it to the app. With some tweak, players will be able to see their likeness in their new playable fighter.

This app also allows players to upload logos, which will in turn be in use in arenas, championship belts, billboards, tattoos and basically everywhere the design applies within "WWE 2K16."

Players can use a smartphone's camera to take a photo (this is called Face Photo Capture or Logo Capture) or they can simply upload ones they have stored. For those who want to make the most out of the Creation Studio app, 2K Sports prepared a step by step guide on how to properly use it.

While this ability is not new to long-time fans of the wrestling simulation franchise (the installments included in this beloved series always have evolving customization options to offer), it is expected that this app promises improvements with new options and tools to play with.
