In what looks to be an intentional leak or perhaps an elaborate marketing strategy, Ubisoft has now revealed a rather interesting Easter Egg which it has included in its brand new open world stealth adventure video game, "Watch Dogs 2." The game itself is scheduled to be released today, Nov. 15, for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Days before the game was to be released, several in-game videos have already spread online. One of the videos showcased a mission within the game called "Ubistolen," wherein players are tasked to steal a trailer for an unannounced Ubisoft video game. The company even included their San Francisco office within the game which includes fake employees and marketing personnel. The game itself is apparently a brand new space-themed video game that the company inside the game wants to announce at the Electronic Entertainment Expo.

Players are then tasked to infiltrate the company's office within the game and then hack into their network to download its unreleased trailer. Interestingly, conversations from the fake Ubisoft employees can be heard wherein they talk about how their other games in real life have been leaked before. It is unclear if life would indeed imitate art and if the video game mentioned within "Watch Dogs 2" exists in real life. If it does exist however, then the way it is revealed is certainly unprecedented and would be a first for any video game.

The game's creative director, Jonathan Morin, has previously stated that there were going to be a number of Easter Eggs within the game, and the "fake" Ubisoft game could be one of them.

"Watch Dogs 2" releases today for consoles and two weeks later for Windows PC. Ubisoft has mentioned that the two-week wait for the PC version is necessary for them to ensure the game's compatibility with various PC gaming setups.
