Ivar (Alex Høgh Andersen) meets his match with Bishop Heahmund (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) in the upcoming episode of the historical drama television series "Vikings."

Aside from the inevitable face-off between Ivar and Bishop Heahmund, the synopsis from Den of Geek reveals that next installment of the fifth season titled "The Prisoner" will also see the return of Floki (Gustaf Skarsgård) to Kattegat. The episode will also take on Bjorn's (Alexander Ludwig) lavish welcome in North Africa.

The promo for "The Prisoner" begins with Bjorn seemingly enjoying his stay in Sicily as he is greeted with women gifted by the Arab ruler Ziyadat Allah (Khaled Abol Naga). Ziyadat is later seen saying "There are many things you do not understand how the world works here." Bjorn is then seen kneeling on the sand with a sword by his neck appearing as though he is about to get executed or taken as a prisoner as ordered by the ruler. The promo also gives a glimpse into what happens in York after Heahmund and Aethelwulf (Moe Dunford) enter what they thought was a deserted city.

In the previous episode, Sinric (Frankie McCafferty) found out that Euphemius (Albano Jerónimo) is merely a client of Ziyadat, and Bjorn asks to visit him. Euphemius refuses but is persuaded to agree with Kassia (Karima McAdams), a famous nun, and they set sail for Cairo.

Elsewhere in Kattegat, Ubbe (Jordan Patrick Smith) agreed to ally with Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) against Ivar and King Harald (Peter Franzén). In Vestfold, Astrid (Josefin Asplund) has agreed to Harald's proposal and married him. Floki asked the gods for permission to bring settlers to his new land and prepared to sail. Outside of York, the Saxons were joined by Judith's (Sarah Greene) cousin Mannel (Paul Reid) and his men from Northumbria.

"Vikings" season 5 episode 5 will air on Wednesday, Dec. 20 at 9 p.m. EST on the History Channel.
