In the next episode of "Van Helsing" season 2, Vanessa Van Helsing (Kelly Overton) attempts to find out where she is being kept and why she is there.

The synopsis and trailer for the upcoming installment titled "Base Pair" were just released and they show Van Helsing trying to break out from a secret military facility somewhere in the snowy mountains. She runs towards a group of thugs with guns and takes them out instantly. "Where am I?" she asks a senior employee as she pins her to the wall. The research staffer is caught by surprise and terrified by her fierceness.

Later, however, she tells the vampire huntress that her group has been looking for her for quite a while now. Van Helsing looks at the elderly lady reluctantly and it seems like she does not want to be a part of the secret group. Apparently, they want her to help turn vampires back to humans.

"You want me to try and turn them back," the huntress says to a scientist as she observes the vampire ward. Inside that section, there are several vampires strapped onto beds and ferociously trying to get out of their knots. Van Helsing watches the terrifying creatures as she contemplates the scientific facility's offer.

It remains to be seen if the huntress will help the humans find a cure to turn vampires back to humans.

In the last episode, Scarlett Harker (Missy Peregrym) and Axel Miller (Jonathan Scarfe) were chased by the Sisterhood of vampires through the forest. They were about to get caught when they were fortunately able to enter a cemetery. Apparently, vampires cannot walk on hallowed ground. Harker and Miller were able to get away safely and take refuge in an armored van.

"Van Helsing" season 2 episode 10 will hit the airwaves on Thursday, Dec. 14 at 9 p.m. EST on Syfy.
