Despite having provided a fitting end to the epic story of Naughty Dog's "Uncharted" video game series, fans are still apparently hungry for more and are demanding another sequel. Now, new reports are claiming that the developer may be heeding the fan's suggestions and is likely now trying to come up with a massive new follow-up, which is currently being referred to as "Uncharted 5."

The previously announced final installment in the long-running franchise — "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" — was intended to be the end of the entire series as it had concluded Nathan Drake's story. The title itself was met with critical acclaim and had received high scores from both critics and gamers alike.

However, according to the latest reports, the alleged new sequel will likely be introducing a brand new character along with a brand new adventure and storyline that will be set within the same relative universe as its predecessors. Reports have also revealed that Naughty Dog may already be sketching up the framework for the sequel, but it may still be a while until it is completed due to the company's other projects.

A report from NSEA Voice also claims that Naughty Dog had actually posted a tweet — which had since been allegedly deleted — mentioning that it was actually looking for ideas regarding what the plot for "Uncharted 5" was going to be. If the alleged Twitter post from the developer is indeed true, then fans of the franchise would likely have a lot of ideas becasue the entire world within the game does present a lot of opportunities for new adventures.

Several fans also believe that it does make sense for the developer to be coming up with a plot for the upcoming new sequels as early as now so that it will not disrupt the timely release pattern that "Uncharted" games have been known for.
