Walt Disney Picture and Pixar Animation Studios still have a couple of sequels that they have to produce to appease fans who have been clamoring for follow-ups to their hit titles. The most anticipated sequels among the companies' upcoming projects include "Toy Story 4" and "The Incredibles 2."

There is, of course, a great demand for both sequels, which is why fans are always on the lookout for new announcements about the upcoming movies.

Now, both companies have officially announced that they will be changing the release dates for both films as there has apparently been a change in the production schedule.

According to the companies' recent announcement, the schedules for both movies will essentially be swapped.

Production for "The Incredibles 2" has reportedly gone ahead of schedule, which means that it has to be released earlier than "Toy Story 4." Disney announced that "The Incredibles 2" will now be taking over the originally planned release date for "Toy Story 4" on June 15, 2018.

On the other hand, "Toy Story 4" will now be moved to a later date, and will be hitting theaters on June 21, 2019.

Disney also revealed that its other animated movie sequel — "Cars 3" — will still retain the same release date as previously announced. "Cars 3" will be hitting theaters next year on June 16, 2017.

The companies had previously announced that all of the three sequels will be produced back in 2014. The first "The Incredibles" movie was released a decade before its sequel announcement, and there is understandably a lot of hype for its release. Being the most overdue sequel among the three titles, it would only make sense that the studios make its upcoming release a priority.

The upcoming movie's director — Brad Bird — had already revealed some hints about the movie. He mentioned that it will be unlike any superhero movies that have come before it as it will be more focused on the characters themselves as opposed to their superpowers.
