In the next episode of "The Walking Dead," Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and the Scavengers headed by their leader Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh) may be walking into a trap.

The trailer and promotional photos for the upcoming installment titled "How It's Gotta Be" was recently released and they showed Grimes approaching the designated meeting place with some of his crew from Alexandria. He carefully looks around and checks if there are any snipers in sight. He reaches the spot but his crew is not at the location. All of a sudden, gunfire breaks out and Grimes immediately takes cover. The Scavengers also scamper to get behind barriers to protect themselves. It seems that the Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) Saviors may have taken out Grimes's men and waited for anyone to return. Grimes realizes that his overall plan may be in jeopardy.

Meanwhile, Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohen) and Jesus Rovia (Tom Payne) drive in the middle of the night on a mission. However, as they head down the road, they see a fallen tree trunk blocking their path. Greene immediately gets suspicious and realizes that it could be the doing of the Saviors. Rovia looks worried as well and advises that they should turn back and avoid the road obstacle. They know from the past that the Saviors were quite smart when it comes to strategy and logistics.

In the past episode, the Saviors were trapped in their stronghold because zombies surrounded it on all sides. The Alexandrians rammed a truck into one of the doors and hoped the zombies would enter and kill the Saviors. However, it seemed like they were able to eliminate the oncoming horde and free themselves from that threat.

"The Walking Dead" season 8 episode 8 will hit air on Sunday, Dec. 10, at 9 p.m. EST on AMC.
