As filming for "The Originals" season 5 officially ended, its cast members bid their farewell on their respective social media accounts. Recently, Sebastian Roche, who plays Mikael Mikaelson, shared their final on-set group picture, while Joseph Morgan (Klaus Mikaelson) and Daniel Gillies (Elijah Mikaelson) posted their videos together.

In the first short clip on Morgan's Instagram account, he revealed how he is gathering all his stuff inside his dressing room. "Packing up," he captioned the video. He said that it was their last week on the set of "The Vampire Diaries" spin-off series, thus he started packing his things.

However, when he comes out of the room, the door shows that he is actually inside Elijah's (Gillies) dressing room. In another clip, Morgan is with his on-screen brother, Gillies, giving their thank yous to everyone who has supported them through the entire season of "The Originals." But in the latter part of the record, they are obviously "lost for words," which is also its caption.

Additionally, Roche also shared a group photo with Morgan, Gillies, Danielle Rose Russell (Hope Mikaelson), Claire Holt (Rebekah Mikaelson), and Riley Voelkel (Freya Mikaelson), among others on his own Instagram page. "We are a family! Best wishes from the Mikaelsons!" he said.

Russell, on the other hand, tweeted his official good-bye to "The Originals" season 5. "Last day working on @cworiginals today...it's been so much fun," she said. She also revealed that she is "beyond excited" to introduce the new Hope Mikaelson to the world.

Meanwhile, in an interview with W Magazine, Phoebe Tonkin (Hayley Marshall) talked about her last few days of filming for "The Originals" season 5. As their story now comes to a close, the 28-year-old star said that it was a very emotional good-bye, and she is still in the process of accepting its end.

In spite of that, she said that she is very thankful for the experience of being included in "The Vampire Diaries" spin-off series. In fact, to be part of it has been a great opportunity for her, and she is grateful for the last five years that she was in it.

"The Originals" season 5 will be released in 2018 on The CW.
