'The Originals' season 3 spoilers: Cami to be brought back from the dead in midseason premiere?

The Originals CW

The final episode of "The Originals" season 3 saw Cami brutally slaughtered by Klaus's ex-girlfriend Aurora. What's worse is that she met her demise just seconds after she and Klaus shared a kiss as they finally gave in to their strong feelings for each other.

Some fans, especially those who have been longing to see the two couple up, are frustrated that the ship they wanted so bad to sail did not go as far as they wanted it to. Now that they were already given a foretaste of the pair's romance, Cami gets viciously murdered.

In the said "The Originals" season 3 episode, it looked like Aurora managed to kill Cami, much to the heartbreak of many. Viewers grew more worried after Leah Pipes, who plays the character, tweeted "I've had such a blast playing The Brave Bartender these last few years. Thanks to all of you who loved her she will be missed."

From the looks of it, Cami may be no more. However, reports indicate that she may still be back. Carter Matt suggests that Klaus's soulmate could return from the grave if she happens to have vampire blood running through her veins. Fashion and Style suggests that Vincent may end up performing a ritual to bring Cami back to life.

Interestingly, show creator Julie Plec hinted during an interview with Variety that Pipes will still be in "The Originals" season 3. "This isn't the last we've seen Leah Pipes grace the screen of this show. The question is what context we'll see her again and just how tragic that will be," she teased.

It sounds like Pipes's character will be back not as the Cami fans know very well but a completely different, unrecognizable individual. Whether or not this plays out negatively for Klaus and the entire New Orleans, fans will have to wait until "The Originals" season 3 returns on Jan. 29.
