In the next episode of "The Middle," Mike Heck orders his kids Sue (Eden Sher) and Brick (Atticus Shaffer) to fix the hole in the wall between their bedrooms.

The synopsis and promotional pictures for the upcoming installment, which is titled "Mommapalooza," were just released recently, and they show Sue and Brick talking in the hallway of their house. They appear to be blaming each other for not doing anything about the huge hole in the wall connecting their rooms.

Mike gets sick and tired of their kids arguing over it that he gives them an ultimatum to repair the wall together or suffer the consequences. The kids decide to put their differences aside and discuss how they are going to fix the wall. Sue holds out her hands and starts estimating how large the hole is while Brick figures out some calculations.

The hole has been there for a number of seasons, and all the kids did was to cover it with a curtain. It seems that now they might actually do something more permanent about that nagging problem. It remains to be seen though if their repair job will come to fruition.

In the meantime, Axl realizes that he does not want his rich girlfriend Lexie (Daniela Bobadilla) to pay for his extravagant outings anymore. However, she finds a way to pay for them and make Axl think that he is just being very lucky with money.

In the last episode, Sue wanted to break up with her boyfriend Aidan (Jackson White) because she couldn't stand him anymore. However, her best friend Brad (Brock Ciarlelli) did not want her to do so just yet because Aidan's good friend Luke (Corbin Bleu) was his crush.

"The Middle" season 9 episode 13 will hit the airwaves on Tuesday, Jan. 16, at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
