Despite not having a fixed release date even until now, reports and rumors regarding Nintendo's latest installment in their "The Legend of Zelda" video game series — "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" — still continues to proliferate online. Fans of the franchise have a lot of expectations for the game as it will be heralding the arrival of a new generation of "Zelda" games that will be taking advantage of modern gaming technology.

Majority of the reports have speculated that the upcoming nineteenth main installment in the franchise will be quite a different game from its predecessors as it will be made to have fully high-definition resolutions, among its other features.

Based on the previously released trailers and sneak peeks, the game looks to introduce a new open world system that will let its players fully explore their environments and initiate multiple quests, adventures, and missions.

The upcoming game's storyline will be taking players back to the enchanting world of Hyrule, where Link has awakened from his 100-year slumber.

The upcoming action adventure video game is also expected to be one of launch titles for Nintendo's upcoming next generation console, the Nintendo NX. Being a launch title, Nintendo would have probably put a lot of time and effort in making sure that the game would be the perfect jumping off point for consumers who would be purchasing their new system.

The game is, of course, also set to be released for the company's current generation gaming system, the Nintendo Wii U. It is also not yet clear if releasing the game for the older generation console would have any impact on its development as the developers might become constrained by the Wii U's limited hardware capabilities.

Nevertheless, fans are still excited to get their hands on the game, which is rumored to be coming out together with the Nintendo NX sometime next year.
