Iris (Candice Patton) and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) must decide how far they will go to keep Barry (Grant Gustin) out of prison as his trial starts in the next episode of CW's superhero television series "The Flash."

In the upcoming installment titled "The Trial of The Flash," the promo shows Barry being interrogated in court for the murder of Devoe (Neil Sandilands). His lawyer warns him the the court has solid evidence against him and they may have to reveal his superhero identity to clear his name. It can be recalled that when The Thinker left the man's body and inhabited Dominic's (Kendrick Sampson), he killed Devoe and made it look like The Flash did it. The murder weapon was gifted to Barry and Iris during their wedding.

Meanwhile, Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) is seemingly blaming herself for what happened as when Iris was forced to decide on who to save between her and Barry, Iris chose to rescue her. Caitlin was abducted by Amunet (guest star Katie Sackhoff) when Barry succumbed to the powers of The Thinker. Iris initially thought that Caitlin needed her help more than Barry did, but Caitlin was ultimately able to neutralize her opponent.

During the "Crisis on Earth-X" crossover episode, Jessica Parker Kennedy played the role of the mystery waitress who appeared during the wedding of Barry and Iris. It is speculated that Kennedy's character will soon be revealed as Dawn Allen, the couple's daughter. In an interview with Bustle, the actress also disclosed that she will be making another appearance on the show.

"I'll be around," Kennedy said. "You'll see me at least one more time, I can tell you that... You'll see me again on the show and things will make more sense."

"The Flash" season 4 episode 10 will air on Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
