"The Curse of Oak Island" season 5 premiered on Nov. 7 with a two-hour special. The episodes will continue to center on Rick and Marty Lagina along with their team. The group will pursue their goal of finding the treasure on the island. However, the next episode will show an accident and how it will place someone's life in danger. That being said, many are wondering if the curse is real or purely a myth that was passed on through time.

The dangers surrounding the island is known to many. For one, the earth beneath it has many large voids, which is presumed to be thirty feet deep. People who are on top of it could not even tell if they are standing in a vacuum or not.

During the filming of "The Curse of Oak Island" season 5, a severe accident occurred. A crew was drilling a hole in the site when a high-pressured hose suddenly went out of control. It knocked the man to the ground. A short clip of the accident showed that the safety helmet of the crew member was sent flying in the air and he was covered with a dust of cloud.

Rick and the rest of the team members came running to help him. Everyone was relieved that he was still moving, but there is no update about his condition yet. An ambulance brought him to the nearest hospital and his condition was assessed. Fans of the show are looking forward to the next episode because it might provide them the details concerning the injured man.

Despite all the risks surrounding their search for the treasure, the crew has no plans on stopping the search. They affirmed that they would continue digging on the site. The Lagina brothers are hoping that this will lead them to a spiral tunnel which was discovered by Robert and Bobby Restall in the 1960s. Unfortunately, the father and son treasure hunters died while searching for the treasure in Oak Island.

"The Curse of Oak Island" season 5 episode 4 titled "Close Call" will air on Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 12:15 p.m. on History.
