Since professional race car driver Arie Luyendyk Jr.'s announcement as "The Bachelor" for the reality television dating game show's 22nd season, many have looked into his dating history and are suspicious that he has cheated in one of his past relationships.
Having lost to Jef Holm for Emily Maynard's love in season 8 of "The Bachelorette," Luyendyk Jr. appeared as though he was was deeply affected by Maynard's decision as he constantly admitted his love for her and was confident she felt the same way in the past. As he was sent to the exit limo, he seemed stunned, as if he would never find love again.
Not long after his loss in "The Bachelorette," Luyendyk Jr. began dating Courtney Robertson, the winner of "The Bachelor" season 16. Robertson and Bachelor Ben Flajnik ended their relationship in October 2012 and a week after the split, Luyendyk Jr. and Robertson reportedly began dating and went on together for a few months, but ultimately split in January 2013.
Shortly after his breakup with Robertson, Luyendyk Jr. briefly dated former "The Bachelor" season 17 contestant Selma Alameri. In an interview with Us Weekly, he said that he was looking to keep his love life out of the spotlight.
"I just want to keep my relationships private in the future," he claimed. "That's the reason Courtney and I split up and I probably should have learned from that, but hindsight is 20/20 and I'm happy to move forward and have a private relationship."
Luyendyk Jr.'s also dated model Giustina Lee, and judging from her pervious Twitter updates, the couple had a lot of fun together. She even named him "one of her favorite humans" in September 2016. However, their relationship quite obviously did not end on the best terms as Lee recently tweeted that she is more embarrassed that sad that her ex-boyfriend is the new face of "The Bachelor," adding that it is probably a telltale sign why their relationship did not work out.
Many speculate that Luyendyk Jr. cheated on Lee as during the time when they were still in a relationship, he was allegedly also dating Sydney Stempfley. In an interview with ET Online, Stempfley revealed that she and Luyendyk Jr. met in January 2016 and dated until July 2017.
Nonetheless, Stempfley defended her ex in the interview, claiming that the relationship was monogamous to her knowledge.
