Kira (Arden Cho) has been missing in action in "Teen Wolf" season 5 since the eighth episode, but according to a report from Design and Trend, she will be the main focus of season 5 episode 13, titled "Codominance." The character made her return in episode 12 but it is in "Codominance" where she will shine under the spotlight.

As seen in the last episode, Kira has been spending time in the New Mexico desert in order to learn how to control and use the fox spirit inside her. The results have reportedly taken a toll on her and there will be another issue as Kira is also being chased down by an Oni demon.

In a report from TVLine, the Oni demon is in fact a part of her test. It is not exclusively explained what this demon wants or how it is testing Kira and her abilities but it may play a part into the fact that the episode will also showcase Scott (Tyler Posey) and Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) getting back together in order to rescue Kira.

The two friends had a big falling out during the first half of season 5 and only recently did they get back together, but according to executive producer Jeff Davis, there is the need to properly re-establish the two's reunion.

According to Davis, this episode will focus on "reaffirming and strengthening their friendship. That's a little bit longer of a reconciliation. We didn't want to just patch things up in one episode."

The report also mentions Stiles throwing up at the mere mention of an Oni demon. The group has been facing off against all kinds of monsters but this is one of the first times they'll be dealing with something as dangerous and as unique as an Oni demon.

"Teen Wolf" season 5 episode 13, "Codominance," will air this Jan. 19.
