Nintendo has now just revealed that it would be releasing the highly awaited new game for iOS devices first on Dec. 15. The game itself will be released in 141 countries with support for 10 different languages. Players will be able to download the game directly on the App Store during its launch with the game being offered as a free demo.

Players can play up to three new game modes, after which payment will be required to unlock the other stages. Those who want to unlock the other stages would have to shell out $9.99 in North America, £7.99 in the U.K., and $14.99 AUD/NZD in Australia. The game will be compatible with the iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touch devices that are running iOS 8.0 or a later version.

The game was first announced by Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto back in September during Apple's annual iPhone launch event. Miyamoto revealed that the game was going to be the first-ever "Mario" game for mobile, and their second in a series of five planned titles. The company has yet to reveal its plans for an Android release, but they did confirm that it was going to be coming out for the operating system at some point in the future.

The company is confident of the success of their upcoming new game, even mentioning that they wanted it to be as popular as Niantic's augmented reality mobile video game, "Pokémon Go." Several reports have predicted that the game could easily hit a billion downloads after its release.
