A couple of exciting new maps are coming to "Splatoon." Nintendo teased what these brand new maps called Piranha Pit and Ancho-V Games will look like in a crazy and fun music video type preview called New Stage Squid Dance.

The adorable inklings are seen dancing their heart out as they looked over the two locations integrated in the game. The first one is filled with huge rotating saws and ramps that constantly switch places. It looks like an industrial outdoor area and overall a thrilling new area to play in.

The second new "Splatoon" map is not as complicated as the first one. It is located inside a deserted office building but gamers should have fun filling this place with bright colors.

Needless to say, gamers are extremely excited about the new map additions. The Piranha Pit and Ancho-V Games are now officially available.

As the third-person shooter video game continues to expand, Nintendo does not have on its agenda to put out a 3DS version of the hit instalment. In an interview with Game Informer, game co-director Yusuke Amano hinted that this remains a tall order.

"With the splattering of ink, which is definitely key to the game, this is something we spent a lot of time on getting the feel and the look of exactly like we wanted," Amano explained. "I think that's something that would be quite difficult to realize on the 3DS considering its limitations," he added.

Amano also made it seem that Nintendo is not thinking of bulking up the map's rotation system in "Splatoon" at least in the immediate future. He did not promise anything but he also showed that the gaming company is open to such upgrade.

Amano said that this possibility always comes up during their discussions but they always opted against pulling it off. At the moment, he emphasized that "we don't have any immediate plans to take that on."

Meanwhile, Nintendo is celebrating its one million "Splatoon" sales with a Squid Sisters concert on Jan. 30. Get the details here.
