"Splatoon 2's" new update 2.0.0 is now live. Players can now experience the newly added gear, hairstyles, legwear, tunes, and more with the game's biggest update so far.

Gamers can now use a new gear that can be seen in the shops. They can buy and replace their equipment on Splatnet. They, too, now have more options to customize their player's appearance with the two newly added hairstyles and two new legwear.

Playing "Splatoon 2" will be more fun with the five new melodies added to the soundtrack. Amiibo functionality now also works better with the game's photo mode.

Players can now take photos with the Inkling Girl, Inkling Boy, and Inkling Squid Amiibo, even though they are still holding their weapons while playing. To make their snaps more scenic, they can use the newly added filters.

Additionally, "Splatoon 2" cap is now increased from 50 to 99. It will let its players reset their game's level if they want to return from the start. The gamer who chooses to start the game all over again will see a star icon beside their rank -- this is the sign added to let other players know they are now on their second round.

Other additions to the game are the increment of recovery time and a lot of re-balanced guns. Gamers will also have the ability to play the new Salmonid Smokeyard's Salmon Run stage, while they are still playing The Shoal. Of course, the game's bugs are now fixed.

"Splatoon 2" multiplayer mechanics have changed. Different fixes to the menu system are also applied. Lastly, the first of four new battle arenas has been added. For the full instructions on how to install the update and for the complete list of the new additions and changes, click here.

"Splatoon 2" was released on July 21 for Nintendo Switch. It is the sequel to Wii U's game, "Splatoon."
