Bethesda and Sony seem to have resolved their previous conflict regarding the implementation of mod support on the PlayStation 4 console for the developer's highly popular open world action-adventure video games, "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" and its enhanced version, "Skyrim Special Edition."

Now that both companies are on good terms, it seems likely that mod support for Bethesda's other game "Fallout 4" might be coming very soon as well.

Just last month, the negotiations between both companies apparently reached a standstill which led Bethesda to officially announcing that mod support was not going to be coming to the PlayStation 4. The company blamed the entire thing on Sony and mentioned that Sony did not approve of how the user mods were to be implemented as it would basically allow players to do anything they want within the game.

Fortunately, both companies had apparently reached an agreement, which has now led Bethesda to announce that full mod support will be coming to "Skyrim Special Edition" on the PlayStation 4 once it is released.

It is also likely that mod support for "Fallout 4" would be coming soon as well, but the company has chosen to put its focus first on "Skyrim."

Following the settled arguments between both companies, Bethesda also announced additional details regarding both games on their official website. The company mentioned that both games will be receiving enhancements that would make them compatible with Sony's latest console, the Sony PlayStation 4 Pro.

"Skyrim Special Edition" will reportedly run in a native 4K resolution on the new console, while "Fallout 4" will be receiving enhancements to its lighting and overall graphics.

While the road to the implementation of mod support for Sony's console has been a bumpy ride, things have now apparently smoothened out. This will hopefully translate to better relations between both companies when it comes to future projects and dealings.

"Skyrim Special Edition" is scheduled to be released within the month, more specifically on Friday, Oct. 28.
