There have been some updates on the upcoming "SHAZAM!" movie, which has quietly delving into pre-production. At least with the updates that have come out regarding the film so far, fans can anticipate the start of production supposedly by 2018.

Zachary Levi, who was recently announced as the man who will be bringing the mighty superhero to life in the movie, compared the tone of the upcoming film to a Tom Hanks classic. Speaking to KTLA 5, Levi shared that the "SHAZAM!" movie was like the movie "Big," but with superpowers involved.

"The hope is that it's gonna feel like the movie 'Big,' but with superpowers. So you're gonna have the heart of that kind of Tom Hanks of the kid in you," said Levi.

When it came to the movie's plot, Levi steered clear of revealing too much, but he did express his excitement and gratitude into securing the role. The former "Chuck" star shared how honored and grateful he was to be a part of the film. He went on to explain that it is not every day that superhero roles get offered.

"These superhero roles, they come around very seldom and to be somebody who's blessed enough to get to pull that brass ring and to go have a franchise, a tentpole, it's insane," said the actor.

Meanwhile, David F. Sandberg, who serves as the director of the upcoming superhero film, had a little fun messing with fans on social media. Sandberg trolled fans with a photo he shared on his Instagram account. The photo showed the Warner Bros. office filled with posters of the DC Comics movies that have already premiered or had just premiered, like "Justice League," "Wonder Woman," "Suicide Squad," and "The Lego Batman Movie."

There was one particular poster in between "Justice League" and "The Lego Batman Movie," one Sandberg designed himself, with the titular hero's red and yellow costume. "Office decoration," he wrote as the caption.

While there is not a first look at the costume that Levi will be wearing in the movie, this will have to do for now. Alongside Levi as the titular superhero, Asher Angel will be playing Billy Batson, the superhero's kid alter ego.

"SHAZAM!" will premiere on April 5, 2019.
