In the next episode of "Shameless," Frank Gallagher (William H. Macy) gets into trouble with Canadian authorities at the northern border.

The trailers and promotional photos for the upcoming installment, which is titled "The Fugees," were just released recently, and they show Frank guiding a group of illegal immigrants to the Canadian border. Apparently, this is a new business of his in order to make some money.

However, he seems to have lost his way in the forest thus making his companions very nervous. All of a sudden, two Canadian agents spot them as they try to run away. Nonetheless, the authorities are able to catch them as they hold out their guns. "Wrong side of the border, boys, eh?" one of the agents says to them as the perpetrators raise their hands. It remains to be seen how Frank will get out of this sticky situation.

In the meantime, Sierra (Ruby Modine) finds out that her boyfriend Charlie (Chet Hanks) slept with another woman and got her pregnant. She goes to Lip's (Jeremy Allen White) place of work to confide in him. However, Lip already knew about Charlie cheating on her but wanted him to confess to her personally. It seems like Sierra isn't taking it so well, and it remains to be seen what she will do to Charlie and their relationship.

In the last episode, Frank successfully brought a group of Muslim illegal immigrants over to the Canadian border. This emboldened him to start a small business of getting people like them out of the country and into Canada. He was recently laid off from work which was why he had to resort to this illegal course of action.

"Shameless" season 8 episode 9 will hit the airwaves on Sunday, Jan. 7, at 9 p.m. EST on the Showtime network.
