Selena Gomez, Justin Beiber news: Re-united couple not engaged despite widespread rumors

Celebrity couple Selena Gomez and Justin Beiber is not engaged and are not planning to marry in secret, despite widespread rumors.

Reports of celebrity couple Gomez and Beiber getting engaged and planning a secret marriage are not true, reports Gossip Cop. The source of the rumors comes from an unreliable tabloid "Life & Style" and an online news website.

"Life & Style" published the latest issue of their tabloid on Wednesday, Dec. 13, and it claimed that Gomez and Beiber are planning to do their vows in a secret wedding. The rumored wedding is supposedly set sometime in early 2018.

The information came from an insider and added that Gomez's family is not supportive of her relationship with the Canadian singer. With this, Beiber and Gomez will marry in secret to avoid any protest or intervention from their respective families.

Additionally, the insider reported to "Life & Style" that Beiber and Gomez will have Hillsong Church pastor Carl Lentz to preside in their wedding.

However, according to People, Beiber and Gomez want their relationship to be low-key and under any media's radars. If the couple is indeed planning on marrying each other, that's not entirely being low-key and under the radar.

Ever since Beiber and Gomez got back together, various rumors have spread regarding the two. One example of that is the rumor of Gomez being pregnant of Beiber's child, which was also publicized by "Life & Style" magazine. The news was later revealed to be completely fabricated.

Prior to Bieber, Gomez was in a relationship with Nick Jonas from 2008 – 2010. She met Beiber soon after, and they started their on-and-off relationship for four years before officially separating in 2014. Three years later in January 2017, Gomez met Canadian singer and songwriter The Weekend, but they broke up after 10 months of dating.

Gomez then got back with Beiber in October, which shocked the entire world. Fans of the couple believe that Beiber is Gomez's true love. Despite their reunion, the two have not yet released any official engagement announcements.
