The Milwaukee Bucks are trying to trade low- post player Greg Monroe since February though other teams were not making a move to trade for him.
According to an article by Morning Ledger, Greg Monroe doesn't fit with Milwaukee's lineup and was often times sent to bench.
His performance on court doesn't help the case against him being traded off the team. He reportedly averaged 15 points and 9 rebounds with a 52% chance of him shooting the ball into the basket.
Regardless of him being there in the court playing with his team members, Bucks could do well without Monroe.
These reasons could contribute to other teams seeming reluctance to voice a trade for him. Despite that,a possible trade rumor with San Antonio Spurs could work for both the team and the player.
San Antonio Spurs have to fill the spot left by power forward and center Tim Duncan after retiring from his basketball career after playing 20 seasons.
The departure of veteran Boris Diaw also made a loss for the Spurs. In an article by Australian Network News, Pau Gasol and Dewayne Dedmon could not be enough to fill this gap. The Spurs need to have big men backups, which could be a role for Monroe.
Spurs said that they were eyeing Monroe for a trade but for now, all talks are rumors since they are not publicly announcing it. Monroe's recent performance in Milwaukee might have affected a decision but nonetheless, Monroe could be a good fit for them.
If given a team that understands his skills and if he is not overpowered by others who sport the same skills as him, he could fare well within a game and could catch a little limelight as well. Spurs could actually make use of him and Monroe could now come off the bench and do his play.
