Samsung news: Galaxy J2 Pro 2018 edition specs

Samsung is in the midst of perfecting its new Galaxy S9 smartphone for 2018. However, the S9 is not the only arrow in Samsung's quiver for 2018. The multinational conglomerate company is also working on the new Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro, which is a much cheaper product compared to the S series.

Samsung has not announced any release date for the J2 Pro edition. However, leaked renders have surfaced on the internet and have given consumers a glimpse of what will the smartphone product look like.

The Galaxy J2 Pro 2018 edition will be functional with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor instead of the previous dual-core. The 2018 edition comes with the Turbo Speed Technology assisted with 2 GB RAM for efficient, accessible, and a much faster experience. The smartphone will also have an expandable memory slot. The new edition measures 143 grams. The J2 Pro 2018 display will be about 12.63 cm or 5.0 inches able to support 720 x 1280 pixels.

The speculated price rate for the product ranges from $100 to $150. The J series is one of Samsung's lower price-rated products. Based on comments from consumers, people are after better resolution display for low-end smartphones in order to compete against high-end products by quantity as well as quality.

There are still no updates from Samsung where the product will debut and on what exact date.

Meanwhile, Samsung has released new updates about the Galaxy S9. The S9 will be making use of the Snapdragon 845 chipset. The biggest reveal is going in the history books with Samsung bringing the first smartphone with 512 GB memory storage. Samsung is also working on its Samsung Galaxy A 2018 series. Samsung, however, has not released any hints or information if it is working on something new for 2018. There are also no release dates announced for these smartphone products.

More news and updates on Samsung's upcoming handsets should arrive soon.
