Samsung had quite a devastating past few months this year, but the company plans to bounce back in 2017 with a slew of brand new products that should help it recover its former glory.

According to the latest reports, the company is set to launch its latest tablet flagship device — the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 — sometime around the first quarter of next year. This is certainly good news for fans of the company's tablet lineup as Samsung failed to release the highly awaited follow-up this year.

A lot of Samsung fans were initially expecting the launch of the new Galaxy Tab S3 back in September during the company's annual launch event. However, the device was absent from the event, which left fans wondering when the device would be coming out. Speculations abound that the company may have intentionally delayed the release of the new tablet in order to further update its specs.

Reports have revealed that the company will likely be releasing two variants of the Samsung Galaxy S3, with model numbers SM-T820 and SM-T825. The new models will be comprised of a compact 8-inch display model and a slightly larger 9.7-inch display model. The larger screened model will have an upgraded resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution.

As for the device's hardware, reports have revealed that the device will likely be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor which will be paired with an ample 3 GB of RAM. Both variants will likely be offered with 32 GB of internal storage which can be expanded via a microSD card slot.

It is unclear as of the moment if the devices would be released with Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box.

Some reports have claimed that it is possible that the device could be coming with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow instead, as the device might have already passed its Federal Communications Commission certification back in March this year.
