Samsung Galaxy S9 news: Leaked photos show 'minimal but good' changes for design

The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus have long been tracked meticulously by avid fans of the tech giant. A lot of details are already shown, whether coming from the company or from leaks. The specs and inner workings of the smartphones are already well-known, but the most recent leaks finally show how it looks like.

The Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus' photos were leaked through a credible website, namely Dbrand, which is a major smartphone accessoriser in the world. The leaks are clear, and they show the full length of the upcoming successor of the Galaxy S8.

Dbrand released the pictures on their websites and social media accounts as a means to advertise their own work. The smartphone accessoriser boasted in their website of how detailed and crips the skin designs are on the Samsung Galaxy S9.

"We measure, cut, apply, and repeat the process with our Galaxy S9 Plus skins over a thousand times, until the fit is flawless on your device," said the company in their website. It should be noted that the accessories such as the skins are now already for sale, which means that the leaked photos could very well be the final product.

While the Galaxy S9 might have excited fans for long, the leaked photos reveal that Samsung might be onto something different, as the smartphone does not have significant changes to the S8, especially compared to how different the iPhone X was to the iPhone 8 Plus.

Many tech experts believe that retaining the S8's design is a smart move, especially since there were little complaints about the S8. Instead of overhauling the design, Samsung focused more on correcting minor mistakes.

One of these minor mistakes is the location of the fingerprint sensor, which was previously beside the camera module of the S8. Upon closer inspection of the leaked S9 photos, the sensors seem to be under the camera, which will remove the inconvenience it gave users.

Customers of the upcoming smartphone can expect a not-so-significant price hike, thanks to this minimalist take by the Korean tech giant, which will work both ways for the interest of buyers and Samsung.
