In the next episode of "Runaways," Nico Minoru (Lyrica Okano) and the rest of the gang attempt to look for their friend Alex Wilder (Rhenzy Feliz).

The trailer for the upcoming installment titled "Kingdom" was released just recently and showed Gert Yorkes (Ariela Barer) telling Minoru and Karolina Dean (Virginia Gardner) that they have no idea where Alex is. Minoru then uses her mom's magical staff to locate the missing teenager. "Show us the way to Alex," she says to the mysterious artifact. All of a sudden, the circular ring at the top of the staff illuminates as rays of light beam forward as if to show the direction to where Alex is. They all get into Dean's car and follow the beam of light to wherever it leads. Dean speeds through traffic and almost hits a couple of cars on the road.

Meanwhile, Alex calls his dad Geoffrey and tells him that he is alright. The kid is able to escape from his captor but gets shot at in the process. The bullets miss him and hit the windows. Dean and the gang manage to catch up with Alex and give him a hand. They are all reunited as they confront Alex's kidnapper and prepare for a fight. It remains to be seen if the identity of the kidnapper will be revealed.

In the last episode, Wilder and Minoru decrypted a computer file and discovered that their parents, as well as their friends' folks, were responsible for the deaths of some missing teenagers. Later, Wilder was called upon to check his car outside of the coffee shop but was suddenly taken by a mysterious perpetrator. Minoru ran outside but was too late to help him.

"Runaways" season 1 episode 5 will be streamed on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 1 a.m. EST on Hulu.
