Princess Eugenie engaged to long-term boyfriend Jack Brooksbank; eyes autumn wedding date

Not long after the announcement of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's engagement, another member of the royal family is expecting wedding bells. Princess Eugenie, 27 years old, is now engaged to 31-year-old long-term boyfriend Jack Brooksbank. The couple seems to be going for an Autumn wedding date.

Princess Eugenie's mother was one of the first people to break the news when she gushed in a series of posts on social media about the couple that "float with laughter and love." The Buckingham Palace then announced on Monday morning that the Princess is engaged to Brooksbank.

Parents of the couple were proud of the engagement. Princess Eugenie's parents, the Duke and Duchess of York, were "delighted" while Brooksbank's parents were "completely over the moon" because of the announcement.

The wedding will take place at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle. This is the same venue where Prince Harry and his fiancée Markle will wed on May 19. Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank's wedding is scheduled for Autumn this year, but no exact date has been announced yet.

Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank began their romance when they met in a skiing resort called Verbier in Switzerland. While it had been announced just recently, some sources say that their engagement might actually have taken place even earlier this month.

Brooksbank is a man who skipped going to university to pursue entrepreneurship. He was schooled at Stowe school in Buckinghamshire and is now a wine merchant. He used to manage an establishment called the Mayfair club Mahiki, but is now the Europe and United Kingdom Brand Manager for Casamigos Tequila.

Meanwhile, Princess Eugenie is the granddaughter of the queen. She is 8th in line for the throne. Brooksbank is likely to get a title after the wedding, possibly an Earldom because of Eugenie's current position in the royal family.
