Fans are excited to see the liars all grown up when "Pretty Little Liars" season 6 returns. There is not much info available about what the future holds for the group except for the fact that they will be up against another baddie that is so much worse than A.
Thankfully, the synopsis for the upcoming episode titled "Of Late I Think of Rosewood" has been released. It is not the most specific summary there is as it pretty much reiterates what has already been revealed although it still hints on what will bring the girls in the face of serious danger once again.
The first part of the "Pretty Little Liars" season 6 midseason premiere synopsis teases that A's identity is no longer a secret and that the girls have gone their separate ways (at least temporarily) to establish their career paths as they try to get their traumatic past behind.
"Torn between their old habits and their new lives, the events in Rosewood compel the Liars to join forces once again, as relationships are put to the test and secrets are revealed. Having matured over the past few years, these are not the same girls who left Rosewood. As new lies emerge – how will they push forward without going back?" the synopsis reads.
From the looks of it, the girls' past and the secrets they hold can lead them right in front of a whole new kind of terror. Just recently, ABC Family (soon to be Freeform) released a promo image that asked the question: "Are you strong enough to carry your secrets?"
Dressed in black, the girls are pictured looking sassy and fabulous as they carried together a black coffin. Indeed, whatever the terrors that girls have stashed somewhere in their past will come crawling back to haunt them.
"Pretty Little Liars" season 6 returns on Jan. 12 at 8 p.m. ET on Freeform. Check out more promo photos here.
