Just two weeks after game developer Blizzard Entertainment announced "Moira," a new character in "Overwatch," the hero is now available to play on PC and consoles. "Moira's" official release is included in the latest "Overwatch" update, available to all versions of the game.

"Wielding both regenerative and degenerative technologies at her fingertips, Moira O'Deorain is Talon's ambitious geneticist who seeks the knowledge to rewrite the building blocks of human life by any means necessary," read Moira's description in the latest patch notes.

"Moira" is intended to be a support character for "Overwatch," and her abilities span from dealing damage to her enemies and healing her comrades. Her entire look is somewhat intimidating, looking like a spellcaster in a dark metallic costume. As to her character history, she works as a geneticist for "Talon," and is also associated with Reaper's Blackwatch organization.

Her main attack is "Biotic Grasp," and according to her official character description, it is used to either wound her enemies or heal a teammate. Her left hand expels biotic energy to heal allies within distance, and her right hand shoots a long-range beam weapon that sucks enemies' health and at the same time replenishes her biotic energy, healing whatever damage she has incurred upon herself.

"Moira" is also capable of teleportation, using the ability "Fade." Her other abilities include "coalescence," which heals allies and bypasses barriers to deal enemy damage via a long-range beam, and "Biotic Orb," in which she creates a rebounding biotic sphere that can either expel a healing effect to her comrades or wound any enemy that passes through it.

"Moira" is the fifth hero character introduced in "Overwatch" since its release in 2016. She is the 26th hero for "Overwatch" and the sixth support class character of the game.

"Overwatch" is currently available for free play from Nov. 17 up to 11:59 p.m. on Nov. 20.
