In just a few more weeks, Halloween will finally arrive.

However, some gamers probably aren't planning to get out of their houses anytime soon, which is why Blizzard may be offering a new Halloween-themed event for its highly popular online multiplayer first-person shooter video game, "Overwatch."

The alleged Halloween event was not formally announced by the developer themselves, and it was discovered through an accidental post on the Xbox Store instead . The person who discovered it — a Reddit user named ChronosHero — mentioned that he had stumbled upon the image of the Xbox Store one day and it was actual proof that Blizzard would indeed be holding a Halloween-themed event called the "Halloween Terror" event.

According to the listing, the event will apparently start on Nov. 1 at 4 p.m., and that during the event, players will be able to gather up Halloween Loot Boxes which will contain a number of in-game items. The Halloween Loot Boxes will reportedly include at least one Halloween-themed skin, emote, victory pose, player icon, voice line, spray, and a highlight intro. The boxes will also contain coins that can be used to unlock other Halloween items. Those who will receive an item that they already have may exchange them for coins instead.

Apart from the overall giveaways during the said event, some fans were able to notice a clearly visible purple candy that shows a skull logo attributed to the rumored upcoming new playable character, Sombra. The character is not due to be released for a couple of weeks, which is why some have been skeptical about the post's authenticity.

Nevertheless, if the event does happen, the listing shows that it will be held next month, starting Tuesday, Nov. 1 and will conclude on Friday, Nov. 11. The new "Halloween Terror" event will likely be mirroring the game's previously released "Summer Games" event wherein special themed items were made available for a limited time.
