Droughtlander is here once again, thus fans are anxiously waiting for the coming of "Outlander" season 4. As the previous season ended on a positive note, with Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) reuniting, his arrest warrant quashed, and Young Ian (John Bell) now safe, it looks like a refreshing start for the two this upcoming season.

In fact, as they have been washed ashore in America, there are reports that the Starz television series' new season will be different with its latest locations and characters. The fourth chapter will continue to be based on Diana Gabaldon's fourth novel, "Drums of Autumn," which will be located mostly in the foreign country.

With that, it is a big question of what would Claire and Jamie's future be now that they are in America in "Outlander" season 4. According to reports, every time that the drama series starts a new season, its new location affects the show generally.

To recall, the first season was located in Scotland, while the second chapter was set in Paris. The previous installment, additionally, was filmed in three locations -- Boston, Scotland, and in the Caribbean.

As "Outlander" season 4 will now be set in colonial America, fans have to wait and see how Jamie and Claire are going to adapt to their new surroundings. This, too, is said to have a great effect on their status.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Deadline, the show's executive producer Ronald D. Moore talked about the change in the television series' location. "It shifts the whole foundation of the show to the American colonies," he said.

This change will be "Outlander" season 4's primary story for the rest of the season. This is simply because this is where "Drums of Autumn" will take the show. However, he assured that it would not just easily leave Scotland as it will still have a connection from where it started.

"Outlander" season 4 is now in production since the third season's filming ended. With that, it is expected to return on time in 2018 on Starz.
