Although there remain no updates for "One Punch Man" season 2, the rumor mills continue churning some information about the anime.

It is being said that the next season of the anime might not be released this year and the next as studio Madhouse Entertainment is expected to wait for new material from the manga.

The first season of "One Punch Man" covered all seven chapters of the manga by ONE and Yusuke Murata. So far, the source material is now on the eleventh volume, which was released in June.

This means that Madhouse will have to wait for three more volumes to come out, should ONE choose to continue to tell the story of Saitama.

This is for them to make sure that "One Punch Man" season 2 can keep up with the pacing of the first one and also offer the same amount of content and story.

New volumes tend to release every four months so the three volumes should be here by June next year. This means that by that time, fans will still be waiting for the anime.

Murata, who draws the manga, has already said before that he planned to begin the work on "One Punch Man" season 2 while the first season aired. It is unclear if this was what happened as there were no updates revealed yet.

However, if the artist indeed started early on the new season, it is possible that a release by next year could happen. It is important to note that he is also working on the manga and other projects.

"One Punch Man" season 2 could be here around this time next year at most although fans will have to take into account the amount of work that goes through this.

Madhouse is known to follow the manga counterparts of its anime to the letter, so it is likely going to wait for more source material to come out before pushing the second season.

Despite this circumstance, it is still being reported that "One Punch Man" season 2 is ready for premiere this month.
