Video game powerhouse Capcom recently stated their intention to develop a more formidable lineup of games for the Nintendo Switch.

This was confirmed by the company's COO, Haruhiro Tsujiro.

In an interview posted by Japanese website Jiji, Tsujiro confirmed the launch of another "Ace Attorney" title, which marks the franchise's first game for the handheld. A tweet of the interview, translated in Japanese by Wall Street reporter Takashi Mochizuki, can be viewed here.

Capcom initially played it safe and limited its titles at the launch of the Switch, including the release of only one game for the Western market, but then had a change in tune after seeing that the success of the console has greatly exceeded their expectations.

Another future release that has made waves in the Nintendo community is the announcement of "Mega Man 11," which will also be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One sometime in 2018.

The release will coincide with the video game franchise's 30th anniversary.

It is the latest incarnation of Capcom's most popular side scroll shooter to appear seven years after its prequel hit the shelves. The latest version will boast much improved graphics (it will now be rendered in 3D) and a much more dynamic storyline.

"Mega Man" producer Kazuhiro Tsuchiya and director Koji Oda stated that this will be somewhat a reboot of the game's mechanics and storyline. If this is indeed the case, players might have more one-on-one time with Mega Man's faithful companion Rush, and temporarily say goodbye to later teammates Roll and Zero.

Despite the rebooting, there are many innovative changes in MM11, such as the way Mega Man's appearance will now completely change when using a defeated opponent's ability, meaning he would no longer simply turn gray in color when using a stone-type boss' ability, but rather develop an armor that matches the type of power he currently has.

Many fans are hoping for the release of other Capcom titles as the Switch has the potential to support even some of their graphics heavy games.

With titles such as "Resident Evil Revelations 2" and a possible "Monster Hunters" port, Nintendo Switch owners might not have to wait very long.
