Chris McKay has been continuously dropping little details about his upcoming movie, "Nightwing." On his Twitter page, the film director answered a fan who is asking about the "casting info," to which he teased that it will happen soon.

"I would expect to be able to tell you more concrete info on our movies progress around February," he said. He even dropped a hint about the film's possible production location.

As the Detroit Film Critics Twitter page acknowledged McKay's "The Lego Batman Movie," the filmmaker said that as he is a "fellow Midwesterner," he loves Detroit. He, too, is looking forward to filming in the Michigan city again.

With that, a lot of fans believe that "Nightwing" could possibly film in Detroit. If this happens, this place could replace Gotham City or Bludhaven. It has been known that these places are mostly associated with Dick Grayson in the comics. Also, as "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" was filmed in Detroit, there is a big possibility that "Nightwing" would also be filmed there.

No concrete details about "Nightwing" have been revealed yet, but as McKay puts it, it would be a "badass action movie" with minimal use of CGI. Also, the film will tell a lot about Grayson's backstory.

However, it still remains a big mystery on who will take the role of Grayson or Nightwing. When the film was announced, there were speculations that it could be led by Zac Efron, Jared Padalecki, or Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Also, Finn Wittrock, Dacre Montgomery, Dev Patel, and Nick Jonas are on the list of the possible stars. In fact, Jonas has been asking his fans to help him land the role of the superhero vigilante.

Meanwhile, "Nightwing" will not make it on DC Films' San Diego Comic-Con lineup. But, its director remains hopeful that it could start filming in 2018. No official release date has been announced yet.
