The final installment in the "Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Series" was in itself a bittersweet title for fans of the series as it marked the end of the franchise. However, there is apparently still one more piece of the puzzle which is meant to end the entire series with a bang, and it is in the form of the game's last DLC expansion pack called "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 - Road to Boruto."
Bandai Namco hasn't really revealed a lot of information regarding their upcoming new DLC expansion pack, but the company has slowly been trickling bits and pieces about the new DLC over the past few weeks. Now, Bandai has released some brand new information regarding the expansion via a number of new in-game screenshots, giving fans some hints of what should be expected when the DLC comes out.
The newly released screenshots showed a bunch of images of the game's brand new story mode involving Naruto's son, Boruto Uzamaki. As was previously announced, the brand new story mode is based on the events of the recently released "Naruto" movie, "Boruto: Naruto the Movie." The announcement containing the screenshots also revealed that the story mode will apparently contain brand new battles and adventures that will include majority of the events of the movie, including the last scene featuring the battle against Momoshiki.
The announcement also confirmed that the Naruto and Sasuke will be coming out in their new forms and costumes, namely Naruto's seventh Hokage form and Sasuke's Wandering Shinobi form. Both forms will also become playable characters in the new DLC, with both sporting new combination secret techniques.
Bandai also revealed that a major update for "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" will be coming out alongside the DLC expansion pack which will be adding a new spectator mode and a new endless mode.
"Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 - Road to Boruto" is scheduled to be released on Feb. 27, 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
