"Mom" airs every Thursday, 9 p.m. EDT on CBS.

The upcoming episode of "Mom" season 5 will see Christy (Anna Faris) showing her feisty side, while Bonnie (Allison Janney) will again help a loved one undergoing a difficult situation. Premiering on Thursday, Nov. 16, the third episode of the series is titled, "A Seafaring Ancestor and a Bloomin' Onion."

In a leaked synopsis for the third episode, "Christy discovers she and her younger classmate, Cooper (Michael Angarano), make a good team both in and out of the classroom, and Bonnie steps up when a newly sober Natasha (Missi Pyle) fears she can't handle motherhood."

Is Bonnie's inability to get through her brother Ray (Leonard Roberts) about his drug problem her driving force to step up and help Natasha? Meanwhile, while Christy's hook-up with classmate Cooper seems to be just a casual fling, is it somehow connected to her mother's recent engagement with Adam (William Fichtner)?

A teaser trailer was also released for the upcoming episode, showing how Christy and Cooper will hook up. First, they are both just studying furtively in her kitchen with their laptops. Cooper then closes his and asks Christy if she wants a break to get "wings or something." Next clip shows Cooper and Christy passionately kissing while eating wings, which led to the both of them sleeping together.

The take on the upcoming episode differs from the second episode, which showed Bonnie's brother, Ray, visiting the neighborhood and getting caught in his lie of being sober.

When Ray announced the news, Christy was happy, but Bonnie was initially skeptical about the whole thing. "Have you ever met anyone, anywhere, at anytime that gave up cocaine that easily?" Bonnie asks Christy. "You don't go from coke fiend to 'I get up at 6 A.M. to do yoga.'"

Ray's lie was revealed when Bonnie and Christy decided to borrow Ray's car for a ride while he was out with Adam. They got pulled over by the police for a busted taillight and discover some pot and cocaine in the glove compartment, which they quickly hid from the police. At home, they confronted Ray, and not only discovered that he was not completely sober, but that he has also broken up with his husband because of it.

In the morning, Ray took off, preventing a second intervention by Bonnie and Christy. It is not yet known whether they will see Ray again, but it sure looks like it is going to be a while.

"Mom" season 5 airs every Thursday at 10 p.m. EST on CBS.
