Michael Schumacher health condition updates: former coach says there are 'encouraging signs' of improvement

After a media blackout was requested by the family of the Formula One Racing champion Michael Schumacher shortly after his horrific skiing accident in the Swiss Alps, fans of the driver had no way of knowing his true health condition. Fortunately, some of his closest friends and colleagues have been providing some updates which have managed to put some fan's minds at ease.

Since the legendary driver sustained some serious head injuries following his accident, Schumacher has been slowly trying to recover inside his home. The injury to his brain was apparently so severe that doctors were forced to put him in a medically induced coma. After waking up from his coma, no official updates were provided as to his true condition.

Now, Schumacher's long-time coach Ross Brawn has revealed some new updates regarding the driver's condition. Brawn is very close to the family and has been present during all of Schumacher's world title wins.

During an interview with BBC Radio 5 Live, Brawn revealed that Schumacher was showing some 'encouraging signs' and that there were some improvements to his current condition.

"There are encouraging signs and we are all praying every day that we see more of them... All I would say is there is a lot of speculation about Michael's condition, most it's wrong and we just pray and hope every day that we continue to see some progress. We hope to see him out and about and recovered from his terrible injuries," Brawn revealed during the interview.

Schumacher's family is, of course, quite serious about their requested media blackout and have actually filed a case against a publisher who had spread false rumors about Michael being able to walk again.

Several reports have also revealed that the family may be experiencing some financial difficulties with Schumacher's treatment, which has led them to sell some of their different assets which included a recently auctioned Mercedes E55 AMG that sold for £516,524.
