American television series based on Marvel's comics of the same name "Inhumans" is set to wrap up its first season with the upcoming episode titled "...And Finally: Black Bolt." The season finale will see Black Bolt (Anson Mount) and Maximus (Iwan Rheon) face off under circumstances that puts all of Inhumanity at risk.

The promo for the season finale shows the Inhuman civilization on the brink of destruction. Black Bolt is seen facing off with Maximus with the Black Bolt claiming that he did not steal the people, but rather Maximus abandoned them. Medusa (Serinda Swan) is also shown telling Black Bolt how all of them are running out of time. Black Bolt then explains how he will not let the dome collapse, and that they will never surrender. The trailer ends with a female voice saying, "It is time for us to return to Earth, our home."

The episode synopsis from TVGuide reveals that the showdown between Maximus and Black Bolt will take an unexpected turn. This will result in lasting consequences for all of Inhumanity.

The plot of the first season has revolved around Maximus' plan to overthrow the Royal Family of Attilan. He calls for the abolition of the caste system which the Inhuman system is built upon and cries for equality through a revolution. This has styled him as some sort of hero even though his methodology involves a lot of murder and deceit.

Over the course of the season, it is known that Maximus has been in contact with geneticist Dr. Evan Declan (Henry Ian Cusick) from Earth and funds his research into new Inhumans. Circumstances led to Declan helping Black Bolt out of prison leading to the reunion of the Royal Family on Oahu with the intention to Attilan to face the usurper Maximus.

In the previous episode, Crystal (Isabelle Cornish) teleported to Attilan to discuss terms of parley. The terms would have Black Bolt offer Maximus his human ally Declan in exchange for him standing down and allowing Black Bolt and Medusa return as rightful king and queen. This would allow Maximus to undergo a second Terrigenesis, but he did not honor the terms of parley. Maximus explained that to undergo Terrigenesis without gaining power is a grave insult. Maximus even had the Genetic Council killed for not allowing him to undergo a second, manipulated Terregenisis because of its untold psychological side effects. Will Black Bolt succeed in his coup against his brother?

Marvel's "Inhumans" season 1 finale will air on Friday, Nov. 10, at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
