MacBook Pro 2017 rumored to release in October with Kaby Lake chip

The new MacBook Pro has just hit the market a few months ago, but people seem to be excited about another upgrade that has been speculated to be released later this year.

There are rumors that tech giant Apple will soon be releasing the MacBook Pro 2017 in the fourth quarter. It is predicted to have much more improved specs and features, such as sleeker design, lighter weight, and a 4K UHD display, which is a feature quite rare in high-end devices. Another device to sport this feature is the rumored Microsoft Surface Pro 5.

However, according to MacWorld, it is not likely that there are going to be big changes for the MacBook Pro soon as it was just released at the end of 2016, with a new unique feature, which is the touch bar. However, there is a possibility that one significant change to come is that Apple will shift to Kaby Lake chips for the MacBook Pro later this year, which could pave the way for higher RAM options. Also, the publication thinks that the update could be rolled out sometime in October.

A report on Forbes agrees with the possible Kaby Lake processor shift. This is because the said chip is believed to be one of the fastest processors there are today. Reports also say that this new chip that Apple is currently eyeing is code-named T310, and it is able to handle applications and battery consumption better. Apple might even release a top-end MacBook Pro with 32 GB of RAM if this change will push through.

Readers are advised to take this information with a grain of salt as all of these details are just rumors and speculations for now. The operating system, price, specifications and features, and release date for the so-called MacBook Pro 2017 have not been confirmed by Apple.
