Video game developers Square Enix just announced that they would be bringing the story-driven gameplay of "Life Is Strange" to Apple's iOS platform. They will be teaming up with creators DONTNOD Entertainment. Blackwing Foundation will handle the mobile port.

The iOS port will come with full touchscreen integration, as well as "Life Is Strange" iMessage stickers. Players also have the option of sharing their progress and story choices on social media.

The port will also feature a brand new "Photo Mode" which enables players to easily take pictures of the game, apply filters to them, and share them instantly.

All of these offerings are of course in addition to the game's original features.

The hand-painted visuals and the ability to rewind time will be treats for both new players and long-time fans. All of the multiple endings are also included in the iOS port.

"Life Is Strange" is a story-driven adventure game set in the fictional town of Arcadia Bay, Oregon. It tells the story of best friends Max Caulfield and Chloe Price. Early in the plot, Caulfield discovers that she has the power to rewind time and alter events that have happened in the past.

This power leads the two to investigate the disappearance of Rachel Amber, their schoolmate. In the course of using her power, Caulfield soon realizes that altering the past can lead to some enormous repercussions in the future timeline.

The story of "Life Is Strange" is told through five separate episodes. The first three episodes will be launched for the iOS on Dec. 14. Meanwhile, the final two episodes will be released sometime in the first quarter of 2018.

It is the first time that the award-winning game will be ported to a mobile platform.

"Life is Strange" was originally released for Microsoft Windows, Linux, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Xbox 360 last January 2015. The first episode of the game maintains "Overwhelmingly Positive" reviews on the online store Steam.
