In the next episode of "LA to Vegas," Captain Steve (Dermot Mulroney) replaces Captain Dave (Dylan McDermott) for the time being, which causes them to go at each other.

The trailers and promotional photos for the upcoming installment, which is titled "Two and a Half Pilots," were released just recently, and they show Steve in the airport meeting up with Dave.

The stewardesses are in awe of Steve as he makes a dramatic entrance. One of the flight attendants even faints at the sight of Steve in his freshly-pressed airline pilot's uniform. Dave looks on at his rival and is disgusted by his presence. "Captain Steve," Dave says with disdain. His rival takes off his sunglasses and replies with contempt, "Captain Dave." The two of them look at each other from top to bottom with judgment.

"What are you doing here? You don't fly domestic," Dave asks him. Apparently, Steve flies internationally, but he is now there because his arm is not in top shape and needs to hang back for the time being. Later, aboard the plane, Dave confronts his rival and tells him bluntly, "I'm talking to an overrated hack whose stick work is pedestrian." Steve takes offense and strikes him with an uppercut to the face. Dave is knocked out instantly as the flight attendants rush to his aid. It remains to be seen what will be the outcome of their ongoing feud.

In the last episode, Dave, Ronnie (Kim Matula), and the rest of the crew had to deal with a dead body on the flight. The person died unexpectedly, which prompted Ronnie to tell her team not to attract attention to the corpse. They were able to keep everyone calm despite the terrible circumstances.

"LA to Vegas" season 1 episode 3 will hit the airwaves on Tuesday, Jan 16, at 9 p.m. EST on Fox.
