Fans are as excited as ever to be able to witness the formation of the league in the upcoming "Justice League" movie. Recent reports revealed that the origin of one league member will be different in the movie.
At a "Justice League" event in the Philippines, an exhibit for the character of Victor Stone a.k.a. Cyborg (Ray Fisher) revealed that he will suffer extremely horrific injuries that would result in him becoming the hero that he is going to be.
Victor Stone is a former star athlete at the Gotham City University who gets into a car accident that nearly kills him. He is saved when his father Silas Stone used an Apokolitian Mother Box to reconstruct his body but upon doing so, Silas turned Victor into a human computer, with both organic and biomechatronic body parts.
With that in mind, it seems that Cyborg's origins in the DC Extended Universe is greatly different compared to his origins in the original DC Comics and his New 52 origin. Both those stories involved STAR Labs but with different incidents. The first one involved a monster being summoned from another universe that ended up mutilating Victor's body, while the second one, was an exploding Father Box from Apokolips.
Cyborg is not the only character with new information revealed, even Ezra Miller's Barry Allen/The Flash has too. During the same event, it was revealed that Barry Allen is still a student during the time the formation of the league takes place.
A photo from The Flash exhibit at the event was shared on Reddit. The text described Barry Alle to be an incredibly energetic student attending Central City College and taking up Criminal Science. It seems to indicate that Barry is taking up that particular major in the hopes of being able to exonerate his father one day.
Barry goes on to team up with Batman (Ben Affleck) and the rest of the league and the text ended, saying that his quick wit is surpassed by his ability to move at super speed.
With this information, it means that the Barry Allen in the DC Extended Universe is a little younger than the character in the TV series, who is already a lot younger in the comics.
"Justice League" will premiere on Nov. 17.
