Brooklyn Nets star player Jeremy Lin acquired an injury back in October 2017. Because of that, he has been absent from the court while he undergoes rehab. The recent update on Lin shows that he can already do cycling, and his condition is improving. Will Lin return to Nets for the next season?
As part of his road to recovery, Lin is seen doing some cycling for his knee rehab. The video was shared by Twitter user infinity88, which seems to confirm that the point guard is ready to play again anytime soon. Fans are pleased that Lin can already move his knees. Lin also asked his fans to help him pray for his fast recovery.
"Please pray for the continued recovery of my body. As I progress in my rehab, I will be focusing on also tweaking some of my previous movement patterns to become more efficient, so please pray that this goes smoothly and that I am a fast learner. haha," Lin said, according to reports.
The 29-year-old is rehabbing in Vancouver at the Fortius Sport and Health. He spends three weeks in the area and then two weeks in Brooklyn. Lin regularly visits Brooklyn to see the Nets doctor, watch games, and meet his friends. Then he would go back to Vancouver for his rehabilitation.
In a recent Instagram post, Lin posted a video of his injury saying that 2017 was tough with the most devastating setback of his life. He said that he refused to re-watch the video of his injury, but he eventually had the courage to do that. He is thankful to his fans for their support especially with the hashtag #NeverDone, which is now the mindset of Lin in 2018.
He also added that although the injury hurts in the short term, he believes that this will help him with his career. Since he is still on a hiatus from the basketball court, he has enough time to rebuild himself mentally, physically, and spiritually. He also said that he is finding ways to be better than before.
Lin also said that he will soon return calling it as an "epic comeback." He even encourages his fans to beat adversity instead of running from it.
"Comfort is the enemy of progress. Don't run from adversity, beast it! And let's not forget God always has a sovereign, perfect plan!" the Nets point guard said as he concluded his lengthy Instagram post with hashtags #lovemyfans and #grownmencrytoo.
In a Reddit AMA with Lin, he revealed that he will be back with Nets next season. Aside from that, Brooklyn Nets general manager Sean Marks also said that the team is expecting for Lin's return for the 2018-2019 season.
