Most of Apple's already released products — including its new 2016 MacBook Pro laptop line — had previously been showcased in various rumors and reports which have tried to predict when they were going to be unveiled. However, one product seems to still be nowhere in sight, as fans continue to patiently wait for the release of Apple's newest professional tablet, the Apple iPad Pro 2.

Majority of the reports that were published had predicted that the iPad Pro 2 was likely to be unveiled before the end of the year.

However, the company has remained silent about any plans to release the highly anticipated device. Some reports are now claiming that Apple may still launch the new tablets, but its release date might have been moved to sometime in early 2017, likely in March.

Reports have revealed that Apple probably wants to hold off the release of the new tablets in order for them to incorporate much better hardware and features to truly make it a worthy successor to the original iPad Pro.

Several theories have claimed that Apple may want to include a better chip compared to the currently available Apple A9X processor. This may come in the form of a chip that is made from a 10nm FinFET manufacturing process.

As for the device itself, several reports that had cited predictions from KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo had revealed that the Apple iPad Pro 2 may be coming in three distinct screen sizes. Reports have revealed that the iPad Pro 2 could be offered in a 9.7-inch, 10.5-inch, and a 12.9-inch display variants.

Rumors have also revealed that the device could be coming with an improved display that will have better support for the Apple Pencil as well as better response to touch gestures. Other rumored specs includes a possible 12-megapixel rear iSight camera and a larger 256 GB internal memory storage capacity.
