iOS users look to have accepted the reality that the latest iOS 11 cannot be exploited in any way. Apple may have finally found a way to stop software developers and hackers from infiltrating the iOS security feature. While all hopes are lost that a working jailbreak tool will become available soon, the creator of the popular Cydia jailbreaking software, Saurik, has confirmed that he is working on the iOS 11 update.

Saurik, also known by his real name Jay Freeman, revealed in a Reddit post that the Cydia software is on its way to being upgraded for iOS 11 compatibility. Using Cydia to jailbreak the iOS is the most popular method among developers and ordinary users alike, and Saurik's announcement gave renewed hope that the seemingly un-jailbreakable iOS 11 has its weak spots, and Saurik might be the only person that can exploit these weaknesses.

"I never made 'millions' and I currently lose a lot of money each month on Cydia. I now have a 'day job' where I spend a bunch of my earnings to pay for it (which I then have to balance with Cydia work). I am working on the iOS 11 updates even so," Saurik stated, claiming that he is now more focused than ever on updating the Cydia version. To note, some people thought that Saurik may only be profiting from the jailbreaking business, to which he downplayed and reiterated his "passion for the concept of jailbreaking."

According to Value Walk, the lack of progress in the iOS 11 Cydia jailbreak has been very evident for the past few months. Without any progress and contributions from known jailbreakers that delivered successful iOS exploits in the past, the public cannot expect a functional JB software to come out anytime soon.

It was earlier reported that a group of researchers were able to find an exploit for the recent iOS 11.2.1 update. Unfortunately, it turns out that the said exploit cannot be released to the general public just yet, and it is more likely that knowledgeable developers are the only ones who can benefit from this. More so, the rumored iOS 11 jailbreak will only work strictly for research purposes.
